A few years ago, I lost a very close friend of mine. He died from a brain tumour which, unfortunately, refused to disappear. He was just 17 and you can understand how heartbreaking it was.
Although I’ve come to terms with his death and moved on, I still can’t help but occasionally be reminded that he’s no longer with us, and it hurts. It’s one thing to be able to move on, but it’s almost impossible to forget.
I’ve found that the best thing to do when I get a reminder is to think about all of the good memories and to treasure them. He may not have been around for long, but he left a hell of an impact and it makes me happy to remember them. So if you ever feel down about losing someone, just remember all of the good times! 🙂
